We are honored to announce that R.W. Rogé & Company, Inc. has been selected as a finalist for The 2024 Luminaries Awards, presented by ThinkAdvisor, in the Corporate Social Responsibility category, alongside esteemed firms Bailard and Greenspring Advisors. The Luminaries Award recognizes companies and professionals in the financial services industry who demonstrate exemplary leadership, innovation, and community impact.
At R.W. Rogé & Company, Inc., we believe wholeheartedly in the importance of giving back, and we take pride in supporting a wide range of causes both locally and globally. Our team members are actively engaged in initiatives that reflect our firm’s core values, and as an organization, we’ve had the privilege of donating to many deserving charities. Our involvement in these initiatives, which is highlighted on our Web site under the “Community Involvement” section, includes contributions from all members of our team.
Operations Manager, Michelle Herbst, participates in “Wreaths Across America,” where she and her family lay wreaths at Calverton Cemetery in honor of veterans, a deeply personal tribute in memory of her late father. She also donates annually to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Client Services Associate Terri Carguillo is committed to supporting the Lupus Foundation of America, and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, having participated in Alzheimer’s walks on Long Island for several years. She also dedicates time to her church, volunteering during the summer for Vacation Bible Study and participating in Operation Christmas Child during the winter.
Our Marketing Manager, Kelley Muhsemann, is a passionate advocate for animal rescue, regularly donating to Almost Home Animal Rescue, an organization focused on re-homing unwanted animals and preventing unnecessary surrenders through community support programs. She is also committed to raising awareness for kidney disease, inspired by her husband’s journey through end-stage renal failure, dialysis, and a life-saving kidney transplant.
Philip Brucato, our Wealth Advisor, helps save lives by donating blood every quarter to the Stony Brook Blood Bank. He is also an active supporter of his local volunteer Fire Department, reflecting his strong commitment to community service.
Our Senior Wealth Advisor, Christine Parisi, and her family proudly support St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and The Fresh Air Fund, a not-for-profit youth development organization dedicated to providing free, life-changing summer experiences in the outdoors to more than 1.8 million children from New York City’s underserved communities.
Dustin Cidorowich, our Associate Financial Planner, has donated blood to The American National Red Cross, volunteered at a nonprofit farm to help harvest crops, and has contributed to the Lifebridge Northshore Community Meals Program in Salem, MA, a vital resource that addresses the urgent needs of the homeless and under-housed on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
Susan Rogé, our Chief Compliance Officer, has been a dedicated Girl Scout Troop leader for six years, mentoring and empowering girls through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and helping them discover their full potential. She has served as the PTO President at Paul F. Doyon Memorial School, where she acted as a key liaison between parents, teachers, and administrators, fostering a strong sense of community and school spirit. Sue also actively supports the Ipswich Music, Art & Drama Association (IMADA), a volunteer organization that advocates for and enhances fine arts education in local schools.
Our Chief Investment Officer & CEO, Steven Rogé, was recognized for his volunteer efforts with The Open Door, a community food pantry that provides emergency groceries to residents of Ipswich, MA. For his dedication, he was awarded the Helen Muise Community Service Award after volunteering over 40 hours in a single year. Additionally, he volunteers with the Doyon Elementary School EarlyAct Club, a service organization for young students aimed at promoting goodwill and understanding through community service.
As a firm, R.W. Rogé & Company, Inc. has been contributing to various charitable organizations on behalf of our family of clients for over a decade. In lieu of traditional holiday gifts, we have expressed our appreciation by making donations to organizations like The Salvation Army, the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, and Stony Brook University Hospital Cancer Center, demonstrating our long-standing commitment to giving back.
This recognition is a powerful testament to our dedication to social responsibility and the deep-rooted connection we have with our communities. We’re incredibly honored to be in the running for this award, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us along the way.
The winners of the Luminaries Class of 2024 will be announced in the coming months, but no matter the result, our commitment to making a meaningful difference will remain stronger than ever.
